Order pre-printed cable labels or opt for in-house printing?
Every label material designed for cable marking and wire coding we offer in our label shop is suitable for ināhouse with a thermal transfer printer. When printing cable tags and heatāshrink sleeves, we recommend using our R2300 resin ribbon. This ribbon delivers a sharp, highācontrast print with long-term readability.
Ā Alternatively, you can outsource printing of your cable labels if you have limited time or resources. Our production team supplies pre-printed labels, tags and sleeves for all your cable and wire identification needs. In addition to the standard sizes available in our label shop, we can manufacture custom cable labels to your exact specifications.

Frequently asked questions about cable labels
Our cable tags are manufactured from highāquality, flameāretardant polyether polyurethane (PUR). The slots on either side of the tag help to easily secure the tags with cable ties to single cables, cable bundles or wiring harnesses. Our customers frequently use this type of cable identification for cables at the back of solar panels or for cable installations underground.
When printing your cable tags, we recommend using our R2300 resin ribbon. This ensures that the coding on the tags remains resistant to abrasions and chemical exposure.
We also supply a custom-made protective laminate (M1602). This laminate enhances UV and weather resistance, so you wonāt have to worry about cable marking for the foreseeable future.
M1301 Wraparound labels
Selfālaminating wraparound labels are transparent labels made from memoryāfree vinyl with a coloured print area suitable for printing wire or connection data. Once applied, the label is wrapped 1.5 to 2 times around the wire.
The integrated selfāadhesive laminate layer protects the printed information against mechanical damage, oils and chemicals for longālasting legibility.
The highāperformance adhesive ensures the label remains securely in place even on the smallest wire diameter, and under both low and high temperature conditions. Wrap-around are not intended for long-term outdoor use. The selfālaminating labels come with side notches along the edges for reliable printer alignment and registration.
M1802 Sleeves
Heat shrink sleeves, also known as heat shrink tubing, are suitable for a wide range of cable and wire diameters. They are commonly used in new builds or electric control boxes where wires and cables have not yet been connected.
By applying heat with an industrial heat gun, the sleeves shrink and are permanently fixed in place. The sleeves can also be applied without heating, which makes it easier to reuse the wire coding, if for example the wire needs to be replaced or repaired.
Always consider the quality of the cable or wire you apply the heat shrink sleeve to. Cables with soft plastic insulation may deform or melt when the sleeve is heated. In such cases, we recommend using a cable tag or wraparound label for a safer and more reliable solution.
M1404 Cable flags
Cable flags, also known as flag labels, are permanent identification labels in Pāstyle or Tāstyle, designed to wrap around thin wires. The flag area, or print area, can be printed on one or both sides with barcodes, text or serial numbers for durable identification.
This type of cable label solution is particularly suited for marking small-diameter wires, such as fibreāoptic cables. Cable flag wire labels can also be used in cases where, in addition to identification, the label needs to have a clearly visible signalling function.
These wire labels are available in flexible polypropylene, polyester with various adhesive options, or vinyl, depending on your application requirements.
